Yeah I saw this, but couldn’t see why they’d do it over the existing f2? I guess it’s a bit smaller, but would it have some improved optics? Existing one is pretty sharp. Looks like they’ve taken the X100V lens!
I’ve been using the 27mm F2.8 WR recently. Nice focal length but the AF is slow and it grinds!
I wondered if Fuji were having to up their lenses as they increase the number of pixels so that the lens renders all the goodness. As some of the previous lenses have been replaced which means the old ones are worth so much less on the 2nd hand market. Good news for buyers.
I bought the 23mm Voigtlander lens for my XE4 as an alternative to an X100. The overall form is larger and my old eyes can’t cope with the manual focus on the small evf so the lens has gone to Ffordes.
I was hoping that when the X100 six came out the price of the V would drop and I could pick one up for a grand or less as everyone rushed to buy the six which was supposed to be able to keep up with demand.
Meantime I’ll keep shooting on my ten year old X100s
